I have removed the hard drive from the machine and inserted it into a HDD caddy connected to a Windows 7 machine running TC 7.2, I am able to mount the first hard drive and can then read the data store on the system drive, but I don't seem to be able to permanently decrypt it. When I turn the machine on, it doesn't give me any option to press F8 on the TC boot loader, all I can do is input the password or press escape, which doesn't get me anywhere. I am trying to decrypt the drive so that I can do a factory reset on the machines, and start from scratch. Neither machine has ever been added to the domain, so I have no way to reset the password using AD. I do know the TC password for each drive, but one won't boot in to Windows as it crashes during boot (and I can't restore/repair Windows while it is encrypted) and the other lets me get to Windows but the person has left the company and not told me the password for their Windows account (and the admin account password isn't any of the standard passwords I've ever been told about). I've had 2 laptops returned to me which were encrypted before I joined this company, I have done some digging but I cannot find any rescue disks for these laptops.
